JCI Michigan announces new partnership with Michigan Community Service Commission

Here we are in September and what a year we have had so far! I am excited for the opportunities we have over the next few months and I look forward to working with our 2020 incoming team as well. I have the privilege of being the only board member with a multi-term position! So you will see me on the board for the next year as well.

Speaking of the future, what are your plans as a Jaycee? Have you considered stepping up and visiting chapters outside of your home? Maybe you don’t enjoy travel but you are excited to try new things outside your local chapter. I encourage all members to come out and here what our 2020 president’s plans are at this next JCI Michigan conference September 6-8 in Battle Creek. You might find an opportunity that you had never considered before.

I am excited to announce yet another partnership! JCI Michigan is pleased to announce that we will now be an official partner with the Michigan Community Service Commission! We had a very successful meeting with them in July and they are excited for JCI Michigan to work with them on several initiatives to include the Governor’s Service Awards, MCSC Volunteer Appreciation week and Americorps community service programs. The MCSC is transitioning from the Department of Health and Human Services, to the Department of Labor effective immediately. This transition will require that do more leadership training and development with their members and volunteers. This would be an excellent opportunity for JCI Michigan chapters to train MCSC leaders to succeed! Checkout: https://www.michigan.gov/mcsc

I will talk about all these opportunities and more at September Conference!
