May Programming Update

Hello Michigan Jaycees!!! 

Thank you to all the chapters who submitted their Chapter Plans, Civic Leadership Certification (CLC), and Chapter of the Trimester for Trimester 1. I appreciate all of your patience with the submission process as the 2020 Programming and Communications/Technology Teams worked out the kinks along the way. We will be sharing a timeline on when chapters will get their feedback once the recognition and awards have been handed out.

Calling all chapters who have run successful projects no matter how big or small! Chapters can still submit Single Project Entries (SPEs) until today, May 1, at 10:00 PM. This means that the SPE Written Resume under the appropriate category must be uploaded and provide the SPE Presenter’s Email in the Submission Portal by the new deadline. (


The Submission Deadline is today, May 1, at 10:00 PM via Submission Portal for Film It!, Junior Jaycee/Jayteen Film It!, Prepared Write-Up, Junior Jaycee/Jayteen Prepared Write-Up, Online Professional Networking, and You’re Hired (Elevator Speech & Online Professional Resume). ( Also, the Competitor Registration Google Form must be submitted for Impromptu Speak-Up, Prepared Speak-Up, Master Speak-Up, Impromptu Write-Up, Debate, & You’re Hired. (

The Virtual Competitions will be held on Saturday, May 16 beginning at 10:00 AM. These will be the on-site competitions that normally happen on Friday night after Opening Ceremonies. The individual competitions will be held at a designated time via Zoom. All competitions will have the same format as if it were being done at a normal conference. All competitors will receive an email after May 1 from Shannon Brunt.

The Virtual SPE Presentations will be held on Saturday, May 23 beginning at 10:00 AM. These presentations will be given at a designated time via Zoom. The format will be the same as if the presentation was being given in-person at the conference. All presenters will receive an email after May 1 from Shannon Brunt.

To volunteer as a Competitions Judge, please fill out the Competitions Judge Sign-Up Google Form: ( All judges will receive an email after May 1st with details on what they will be judging, how, and when from Shannon Brunt.
