In May, we have the opportunity to experience something new. For the first time, we are hosting a virtual conference, where we will conduct trainings, competitions and SPE presentations and judging remotely, using Zoom over the next three weekends. In addition, we will host a virtual social on each of the conference weekends in May.

On May 8, we start conference at 7:30pm with a Zoom tutorial, followed by opening ceremonies at 8:00pm, with a cocktail hour, parade of chapters, district socials, and ending with fun and games. Dress for this event will be show your Jaycee chapter pride!

On May 9, we start the day with fellowship breakfast at 9:00am, followed by You Matter, Your metal Health with Sarah Fappas, LMSW.

Interviewing like a Boss with the 98th President of JCI USA and Chair of the JCI USA Leadership Fellows Program, Noelle Nachreiner, at 11:00am.

At 12:00pm, we will have Opportunities in JCI with: Carena Townsend, District 3 Director and JCI USA Fellow; 95th JCI Michigan President, Immediate Past President of JCI Michigan, and a current member of the 2020 JCI USA Chapter Development Committee, Steve Fappas; and 92nd JCI Michigan President, past JCI USA Vice President, and JCI Michigan’s Primary Advisor to the Mid America Institute, Steve Pickelmann.

The Secret Life of the Worker Bee with Programming VP Jeri Behrmann and the Programming Team will take place at 1:00pm, with Make Some Noise with Membership VP Carol Pickelmann and the Membership Team to follow at 2:00pm.

JCI Talks, featuring contributions from Adam Bonarek, Christopher Crawford, Arianna King,
James Dreher ,and Jessica Bocade, follows Programming at 3:00pm.


May 16 is Competitions Day. If you are participating in a competition, you will get your time slot from the Programming Team. Following competitions, Live District Trivia, followed by breakouts with different games. Dress for the evening fun is Costume Party, and yes, it is a contest!


May 23, is SPE Presentations and Judging Day. If you are presenting a SPE, the Programming Team will inform you on your time to present.

Following SPE’s presentations, we will have Dinner and Battle – Dinner will be BYO (Bring Your Own), and will be an awards presentation to follow where we will recognize incentives, Passport 1-9 and the membership challenge winner. We will end the evening with a lip sync battle.

Dress for this evening is Formal attire.
